The HTC One was an instant Android smartphone hit earning a five-star review as the Taiwanese-mobile makers try to gain ground on Apple and Samsung. Has it been enough though to be named Tech Brand of the Year?
After streamlining its mobile offerings under the One Brand, HTC is mounting a serious comeback to reclaim the award it won in the 2010 T3 Gadget Awards.
That’s mostly in part to the arrival of the HTC One a handset which was given the T3 seal of approval and is comfortably one of the best Android phones thanks to its slim, aluminium design, innovative BlinkFeed feature and the impressive Ultrapixel camera.
Other notable announcements from the Taiwanese company this year included the HTC First, the first Android smartphone to have Facebook Home pre-installed and while they have not yet ventured back into tablet territory, its smartphone expertise has helped deliver an Android handset that can rightfully be mentioned in the same breath as the iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S4.
