LG Optimus 7
T3 Tech and Gadgets
One of the first handsets to introduce Windows Phone 7 to the world, the LG Optimus 7 has enough in the locker to separate itself from the pack.
Price: £400 | LG
Following the three button design common across the handsets, a 3.7-inch screen and 1Ghz processor delivers an intuitive response on Microsoft’s new tiled interface.
The key Windows Phone 7 hubs can be accessed from one screen letting you get to your music, video, contacts and more with ease. For work fiends, push email is easier than ever, while the Office hub will let you create and edit Word, Excel and Powerpoint documents.
There’s access to the revamped Windows Marketplace, as well as LG’s apps shop, and gamers are catered for with Xbox Live integration bringing a strong social gaming theme to the Optimus 7.
Unique to the Optimus 7 is PlayTo for streaming over DLNA. Throw in a 5-megapixel camera and 720p HD video recording, and the Optimus is a great advert for the massively overhauled WP7 OS.
