While it may not have sold as many as Microsoft’s Kinect, the PlayStation Move has still shipped a not-to-be-sniffed-at 8 million units.

It’s a great halfway house between the kid-friendly Wii and total body workout of the Kinect: more sensitive to angles and force than Nintendo’s control, but you won’t need to clear your lounge as with Microsoft’s console.
Anyone who has played table tennis on it will attest that it feels like a real step up from the Wii; you actually have to think about strength and spin, whereas with the Wii you can just sit on the sofa and flick your wrist. As for aiming a gun, it’s about as realistic as you can get without taking a trip to a shooting range.
One day, all first-person shooters will be controlled this way…
