Finalist Sony PlayStation 3

T3 Tech and Gadgets
The Nintendo 3DS may have brought 3D gaming from the hardcore PC users into the mainstream, but the PlayStation 3 actually beat it to the punch: thanks to a firmware update, PS3 owners had the ability to play 3D games way back in 2010.
Price: £380 (with Playstation Move) | PlayStation
Only two full 3D games were available from launch, along with a couple of demos. But designed from the ground up for 3D, Gran Turismo 5 and Killzone 3 have set the standard. The title count now stands at 89.
Not only that, the update also turned your games console into a 3D Blu-ray player, saving you a fortune in upgrading your set-up.
Add Lovefilm movie downloads, catch-up TV, an ever-growing arsenal of killer games and the imminent return of PlayStation Network, and this four-and-a-half-year-old console still has a lot of life left in it yet.
