The first lady of the UK web, Martha Lane Fox is rising well to her task of getting the 9 million Brits who have never used the web online, using skills and experience gained since setting up Lastminute.com back in 1998.

In her position as Digital Champion, Lane Fox is pushing the awareness of existing and emerging technologies to a national audience, and through the Race Online 2012 campaign is fronting the nationwide expansion of broadband.

Even more impressive, Lane Fox had to overcome a horrendous car crash in 2004 beofe storming back as Digital Champion for both the last government and the current one. She is hugely influential in the public’s changing relationship with technology.
