HTC has set the bar high for itself in recent years, with the HTC Hero a former Gadget of the Year winner and the Desire a star performer at last year’s Awards. But are either of those as impressive as this year’s contender, the HTC Incredible S?

 Having already wowed the US, HTC’s current Android front-runner arrives in the UK with a brilliant 480x800 Super LCD screen, a 1GHz processor, and 8-megapixel rear-facing and 1.3-megapixel front facing cameras. The look and build are of HTCs usual high standards.

Perhaps most important is HTC’s excellent Sense UI, the interface that keeps the company ahead of an increasingly large chasing pack.

This is HTC at its best. Even without a dualcore processor, could that be enough to scoop the biggest prize of all?
