Spotify wins Innovation of the Year

Barely a year on from its soft launch, it’s already hard to imagine life without Spotify. Putting millions of songs at your disposal for instant listening, in return for listening to the odd advert – or a tenner a month if you really can’t stick the ads – it’s no exaggeration to say it’s changed the way we listen to music.
 
Previous “all-you-can-eat” music services had faltered, but Spotify strode out to the wicket and, with a superb interface, massive tune selection and seamlessly smooth, high-fidelity music streaming, hit it out of the park, first ball.
 
Spotify's CEO Daniel Ek was named on T3's Tech 100 list as the 3rd most influential person in the technology industry this year, and with Spotify now hitting mobiles thanks to its Mobile app, this story is only just beginning.
